Darjeeling Summer Solstice Tea (50 G)
₹590 · 50 g airtight tin · up to 25 cups · about ₹24 a cup
Summer Solstice is our second flush Darjeeling, picked at the height of summer when the leaf carries its fullest character. The cup is amber and smooth, with the fruity, honeyed muscatel note that made Darjeeling second flush famous.
Whole unbroken leaves, grown and packed on Happy Valley Tea Estate in Kurseong at 6,900 ft, under organic practice. The tin keeps the aroma in, and the leaf takes a second infusion well.
How to brew
1 teaspoon per cup · water at 90–95°C · steep 3–4 minutes. Good hot, and equally good brewed long and chilled as iced tea.
Why it's worth it
- Single-estate second flush, not a blend
- Whole leaf, so the flavour builds slowly and lasts
- Grown and packed at the estate, sealed in a tin caddy
- Makes an easy gift straight off the shelf
